Rick and Morty Season 8 Episode 1 Release Date
Rick and Morty Season 8 Episode 1 is presently scheduled to return in 2025. There will be 10 episode in season 8 and they will be available here. This comes more than a month after the adult animated series concluded its 10-episode seventh season. If the next installment did indeed arrive in 2025, it would be one of the longest waits between seasons of the show in a long time. For three consecutive years, Rick and Morty fans have been treated to the release of a new season every year since Season 5 in 2021.
New Rick and Morty Voice Actors Describe Role as ‘Literally a Dream Come True’
Ian Cardoni and Harry Belden discuss how they felt after landing their dream job on Rick and Morty.
Ahead of the Rick and Morty Season 7 finale, series regular Sarah Chalke, who voiced the role of Beth Smith, previously provided an update on the production status of Rick and Morty Season 8, confirming that the cast has not yet begun voice recording. “It’s written, but we haven’t read them yet, we just got them a little bit before,” Chalke said. “You know, we get the scripts as we go, and it’s always fun to see what you’re going to do. I have a good time every time I record. Whatever Beth or Space Beth is doing, I’m here for it.”
In 2018, Adult Swim granted Rick and Morty a 70-episode renewal after three seasons, guaranteeing that the show would last up to ten seasons as each installment consisted of ten episodes. According to showrunner Scott Marder, they’ve already mapped out “a full 10-season saga” of the fan-favorite series, despite original co-creator Justin Roiland’s controversial dismissal. “I can’t tease much,” he said. “I can tell you that we already have some ideas for Season 10 that are already kind of nailed down. There’s a full plan for the whole 10-season saga. So if people are okay with what we’ve been doing for the last couple of seasons, we intend to give them more. But there are certainly arcs and great things and big surprises in store.”

Rick and Morty Season 7 ends on a very psychedelic note, redefining the way Morty and his mad scientist grandfather view each other.
In addition to developing future seasons of the original series, Adult Swim is currently gearing up for the upcoming premiere of its first Rick and Morty spinoff, which recasts the beloved title duo as anime characters. Rick and Morty: The Anime is expected to take place in a separate universe with a Japanese voice cast. Rick and Morty Season 7 welcomed two new additions to its main cast: voice actors Ian Cardoni and Harry Belden, who took on the respective roles of Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith. They join returning voice actors Chalke as Beth Smith, Chris Parnell as Jerry Smith and Spencer Grammer as Summer Smith. In a previous interview, Cardoni and Belden admitted that it took them a while to settle into their roles. “I think it’s an ongoing process, it’s been all summer, it’s going to continue as these characters grow,” Cardoni said. “I hope so, too.
